The University of Virginia School of Nursing has an opening for a general track faculty member interested in joining one of the nation's top nursing programs.
We seek applicants with strong clinical and academic teaching experience. Specialty areas include acute care and psychiatric and mental health. In addition, applicants should demonstrate leadership ability and activity in an academic setting.
A PhD or DNP in nursing, clinical experience in a specialty area (especially advanced practice nursing in acute care, family practice or psychiatric and mental health). Experience working with students and teaching a specialty area are required. Preference will be given to those with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification as well as a commitment to quality and excellence in interdisciplinary learning environments. Licensure in Virginia is required by the start date. Salary and faculty rank are commensurate with education and experience.
