Summary of Position: The department is accepting applications to fill current and future part-time, temporary teaching positions. Positions which may become available include student teacher supervisors, activity/theory course instructors, lab instructors, lifeguards and visiting faculty. (Please note: FT Visiting positions are rare and they should not be the sole purpose for your application.)
Major Responsibilities: A classroom based 3 credit hour course pays $2700 per class.-Student teacher supervisor pays $270 per placement.-Lifeguards are paid at the rate of $10 per hour.-Lab instructors (formerly Graduate Assistants) may be eligible for tuition waiver program (3 credit hours per semester) and/or $8,000 salary per year.The department typically hires for a wide range of activity and theory courses as well as supervisors of student teaching.
Required Qualifications: Student Teacher Supervisor Required Qualification: - Teaching experience in special areas.A significant amount of experience and/or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution required for all positions. -Lifeguards must hold current lifeguard training certifications as well as certifications in CPR/First Aid/AED
