Summary of Position: The department is accepting applications to fill future or anticipated openings in the 2016-2017 academic year. This individual will serve as an assistant to the Associate Director of Campus Technology Services for daily functions within the area of Technical Services.
Major Responsibilities: The Technical Services Associate will provide assistance with classroom maintenance, audio-visual equipment installations, repair calls and departmental asset documentation. Daily responsibilities will include repair calls involving problem solving, upgrade and maintenance of existing equipment instructional systems, maintenance and data input of the departmental inventory database. Additionally, this position will provide secondary support to the instructional spaces area for media equipment set-up for special events.
Required Qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited institutions with experience working in the audio-visual field. Demonstrated effective communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, ability to work independently and within a team structure, self-motivated, and be willing to work some off-hours are essential. Applicant must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Preference will be awarded to applicants with Higher Education environment experience, in-depth knowledge of instructional audio-video equipment, familiarity with Crestron control systems, familiarity with Microsoft Access, and/or certifications in the audio-visual field.
