Housed in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the residency is at the center of primary care for the Los Angeles underserved community. This location allows physicians and medical students to make a difference in the community and fulfill the most elemental creeds of being a Family Physician.
California Hospital/USC Family Medicine Residency Program has a strong track-record as a resident-focused program dedicated to developing family physicians for careers working with vulnerable populations. Current faculty have a wide breadth of expertise including maternity care, inpatient medicine and ICU, Integrative Medicine, Geriatrics, and integrated Mental Health. The Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC (DFM) is seeking a faculty member for the CHMC/USC Family Medicine Residency Program. The residency was started more than 30 years ago by the institutional sponsor, California Hospital Medical Center and focuses on serving a low income, urban community. DFM is the academic partner responsible for the operations of the program; all core faculty have academic appointments at Keck School of Medicine. In 2011, the residency continuity clinic became a satellite of the Eisner Pediatric and Family Medical Center FQHC.
Licensed in the State of California to practice medicine
Completion in good standing from a family medicine residency
Demonstrated teaching experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI, DEA etc.
With parking lots turning into apartment buildings and mixed-use space, the immediate neighborhood around the clinic is in a period of growth and change.
Candidates are expected to show evidence of outstanding qualifications through letters of recommendation and teaching evaluations.
Salary will be based on USC pay scale.
