Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Vice Chair for Finance & Administration of the Department of Medicine and the Division Chief, the Divisional Administrator is responsible for the operational and financial management of the Division. The position supervises the day-to-day operations of the Division faculty practice, including medical billing, compliance, and patient care coordination with the New York Presbyterian Hospital. With the Vice Chair and Division Chief, the Administrator develops, presents, and monitors the Division's budget, including the development and implementation of faculty business and recruitment plans. The position supervises pre- and post-award research administration and monitors and presents financial plans for research and clinical programs to Division and Department leadership. The Division Administrator supervises all administrative and support staff in the Division and is responsible for all operations, including space management and coordination of human resource and business office functions with the Department.
General Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelors degree and at least four years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: The position requires excellent communication, financial, supervisory and computer skills. The ability to work diplomatically and collaboratively with all levels of staff and University and Hospital leadership is essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in a relevant area is preferred as well as prior departmental/divisional management experience.
