The University of Maryland has an opening for a fellowship in the Section of Thoracic Imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore beginning in July 2017. The integrated training includes all aspects of cardiopulmonary imaging, including cardiac CT/MR, chest radiography/CT and interventional procedures. The program includes a strong teaching commitment with daily morning teaching conference within the section. Support for research or other educational experience is also provided. The department has state-of-the-art equipment (3T and 1.5T MR, 256 and 64-slice CT scanners, 64 slice PET/CT scanner). All studies are interpreted on a hospital-wide PACS system.
The University Medical Center has 800 beds, and Radiology services are also provided for the all-PACS Baltimore VA Hospital that is on the University campus. Applicants must have passed ABR core exam or be ABR certified, and meet the requirements for Maryland licensure.
