The University of Maryland Medical Center has 1 opening for fellowship in the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore beginning in July 2017. Training includes all aspects of abdominal imaging, including CT, PET/CT, MR, Ultrasound and Intervention. Research is encouraged and supported. The department has state-of-the-art equipment (3T and 1.5T MR conventional and short bore systems, 256, 64 & 40 slice CT scanners, a multislice CT fluoroscopy system for interventional procedures and Philips EPIQ7 and IU 22 ultrasound equipment. All studies are interpreted on a hospital-wide PACS system with multiple 3D postprocessing systems for advanced image analysis.
The University Medical Center has 800 beds and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. The Medical Center has Centers of Excellence in Digestive and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Advanced Heart and Lung Programs, Surgical and Medical Oncology, Prostate Cancer, Liver Disease and Transplantation. Radiology services are also provided for the Baltimore VA Hospital that is on the University campus.
