ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-GLOBAL INVESTMENT STAFF, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo), to join the dynamic Global Investment Staff (GIS) as a valued member of a three person support team. Core responsibilities include booking and managing complex domestic and international travel, processing reimbursements, scheduling internal and external meetings, and assisting with document and presentation edits as necessary. Other tasks include preparing and organizing pre-travel due diligence materials, managing the flow of research materials in and out of a database, and maintaining up-to-date passport and visa privileges for members of the team. Additional research projects will be assigned on an ad-hoc basis. Providing backup and interacting closely with the other administrative staff within the Global Investment team will also be expected.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; minimum of three years' office administration experience; excellent communication and interpersonal skills for representing the work area and larger MIT community; initiative; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; proven ability to suggest and implement enhancements and refinements to improve the overall effectiveness of a team; strong computer skills, including fluency in Outlook email and calendaring, Excel, and Microsoft Word; ability to develop simple PowerPoint presentation; comfort interacting with high-level executives; and ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment. Seek a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is able to set priorities, problem solve, multitask, and manage competing demands while working under pressure and with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines. Experience booking and processing related reimbursements for complex domestic and international travel for large teams highly recommended.
