There is a 1 year ACGME pediatric radiology fellowship at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center, a member of Northwell Health, for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The pediatric radiology division is a growing group of 5 dedicated pediatric radiologists. We participate in a broad spectrum of multispecialty conferences. There are two new dedicated pediatric MR machines, two CT scanners, a new fluoroscopy unit, and 3 ultrasound suites. A separate pediatric neuroradiology division is also being established.
The Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) of New York is a 202-bed tertiary pediatric hospital performing approximately 70,000 examinations a year. It is the largest provider of pediatric health services in New York State and serves 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk counties. There is a new inpatient hospital with a state-of-the-art Emergency Department. It is a Level I pediatric trauma center and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. There is a pediatric intensive care unit and Bone Marrow Transplant unit. There are pediatric ultrasound technologists 24-hours a day.
Research activity is encouraged and supported with abundant opportunities through a departmental research division and with the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
The CCMC is located approximately 15 miles from Manhattan.
Prerequisites are completion of an ACGME accredited diagnostic radiology residency and a New York state medical license.
