Essential Functions: Conduct research projects, including development of project concepts, experimental design, data analysis, presentation and publication of experimental results.
1. The lab studies bone cell biology and several modes of pathological bone loss using genetically modified mouse models. The specific project for this position involves the study of mitochondria in bone cells.
2. The candidate is expected to design and execute research protocols based on methods in the literature.
3. The candidate is expected to present data at meetings, publish the results and assist with grant preparation.
