Computational Research in Management & Organizations (Open Rank)
The Management and Organizations Department of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track position with a specialization in computational and data intensive approaches to social and organizational research. The position is open rank with an appointment either as an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in topics related to management and organizations. Additionally, a PhD in management, communications, behavioral social science disciplines or related fields must be in hand or expected by employment start date.
Primary criteria are evidence of outstanding research potential, a commitment to teaching excellence, and an ability to enhance the department’s research and teaching portfolio. The position is part of an interdisciplinary effort to advance Kellogg’s and Northwestern’s leadership in computational, data intensive and complexity research. Applicants should thrive in interdisciplinary environments, have strong research skills in computational, data-analytic or complex systems approaches, and a desire to contribute to managerial and social science research. We expect the appointee to fully engage with the research community in the department, contribute to our doctoral program, and teach MBA-level courses on social analytics and related topics.
