Posting Summary: The Darden School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join its Admissions team.
The Assistant Director will support the Admissions team as we attract high quality students and build the Darden brand. We are seeking an energetic, effective and organized individual with interest in communications and/or higher education.
This role will take on the project of traveling to college campuses across the United States and possibly internationally to promote our future year admissions program. The goal will be to meet with both career counselors and prospective students on campus, and perhaps faculty as well. Focus will also be on diversity recruiting and pipeline building.
The Assistant Director travels to Admissions prospective student and alumni events representing Darden at receptions and on panel discussions.
Required Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Required
Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's Degree by 6/2017
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Demonstrated experience coordinating complex projects and/or events, working with a diverse range of individuals, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Marketing, admissions or higher education
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated written communication skills, organizational ability and a high level of comfort with technology. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain cognizant of deadlines and schedules. Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and foster inclusion.
