UCSF FRESNO PSYCHIATRY FACULTY POSITION
The University of California San Francisco Fresno Medical Education Program (UCSF Fresno) and VA Central California Health Care System (VA) are seeking candidates for a 1.0 FTE faculty position at the VA in Fresno. The physician (Psychiatrist) is primarily an outpatient clinic position with additional opportunities to provide mental health consultation for older adults who are on inpatient medical, surgical services conduct ECT evaluations and provide coverage in the inpatient psychiatry unit, Community Living Center (CLC), and the Home Based Primary Care team.
The VA is a core training site for UCSF Fresno Residency training program in numerous specialties and fellowships including psychiatry. With a faculty appointment, opportunities for resident supervision, teaching and clinical research will be available and encouraged. Experience treating elderly Mental Health and/or dementia patients is strongly preferred. Candidates must be either board certified or eligible in Psychiatry. California medical licensed or eligible to obtain a California medical license.
