Provides ophthalmic technical and diagnostic support to the ophthalmology department; to prepare diagnostic findings, to coordinating patient care and patient flow, coordinates staffing, efficiently completes clinical/administrative duties and tasks in a timely manner.
-Associate’s Degree or
-Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
-Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification or complete certification requirements in six months of employment. Ophthalmic technical experience in a clinical setting, knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and protocols, knowledge of specialized equipment and instruments.
-Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification or complete certification requirements in six months of employment.
-A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 30 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
