The Department of Medicine is seeking a general internist to serve as a Hospitalist Nocturnist in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. This position will serve as a Hospitalist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center on the Internal Medicine inpatient services working the night shift, which would include weekend responsibilities. (Intensivist support is available 24 hours.)
Educational responsibilities include supervising and teaching medical students and residents who work the overnight shift. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in quality improvement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and other scholarly activities.

Requirements include an MD degree and board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. Applicants for this position will demonstrate excellence in research, patient care, enthusiasm for medical education, and strong teaching skills.
