Support Center Specialist
The George Mason University Information Technology Services (ITS) Support Center invites applicants for a Support Center Specialist position located on the Fairfax, Va., campus. This position will be responsible for researching, resolving, and responding to technical questions received from faculty, staff, and students via telephone, e-mail, and the walk-up service window in a timely and professional manner. This position also requires dispatching and escalating calls to other teams when necessary.
- Must be motivated and a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, and have a positive attitude; and
- Have demonstrated experience solving problems with a wide variety of computer software and hardware in a customer service environment.
- Experience with Service Desk Express (SDE), Crystal Reports, SQL databases and/or antivirus software are highly beneficial; and
- Microsoft and/or other industry standard certifications are an additional benefit.
Salary range is $40,000-$45,000, and commensurate with education and experience.
Working hours are Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. (includes four 10-hour days).
