Advertised Summary Job Description: The Associate Web Developer develops and maintains PHP web applications and systems for Columbia College Information Technology (CCIT).
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Works on day-to-day operations of Web applications and systems for Columbia College Information Technology in support of the College's administrative departments. -Develops feature enhancements, upgrades, and configurations for in-house applications. Fixes bugs and applies patches. -Engages in unit, integration, and acceptance testing of web applications and infrastructure. -Provides client-facing support in response to requests related to web applications. Assesses and troubleshoots issues, and communicates status with clients and management. -Develops technical documentation and end user documentation for applications developed and systems supporting applications developed. -Monitors components of web infrastructure, coordinating with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and Web Developers to ensure systems and applications are up to date. -Other duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: -1 to 3 years of web application development in a professional setting -Proven excellence in web application development and problem-solving -Proven focus on in-depth information security practices -The ability to work with high degree of independence and accountability as a member of a cohesive team -Excellent verbal and written communications skills and client service skills
