Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seek a consultation liaison psychiatrist with interests and experience in psycho-oncology that could complement and expand growing programs in Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Neuro-Oncology, and behavioral research. The Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist would be primarily devoted to the care and management of cancer medical-surgical inpatients and outpatients with psychiatric co-morbidity. This faculty position affords the flexibility to blend outpatient and inpatient consultation practices for the cancer center. Enthusiastic faculty with the expertise and energy to play an important leadership role within our NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, who have proven leadership experience and strong interests in collaborations with strong research programs, including psycho-oncology, behavioral science and clinical trials research, are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have an M.D. degree, board certified/eligible in psychiatry. Fellowship training or Board certification in Psychosomatic Medicine is highly desirable. Candidates with academic research interests and teaching experience are preferred. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
