Anthropology: Lecture Pool - Cultural Anthropology (Ongoing)

The Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the on-going pool for part-time, temporary teaching positons for one or more quarters, under the direction of the Department Chair. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and mentoring students in the area of cultural anthropology. Applicants should be prepared to teach primarily undergraduate courses. Regular appointments are during the academic year, but accepted candidates will also be eligible for Summer Session appointments.
The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching.
SALARY: $6,126 - $8,656 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Compensation for Summer Session courses may vary from this amount.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: M.A. or foreign equivalent in Anthropology or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of excellence in research and teaching at the undergraduate level is highly desirable.
POSITION AVAILABLE: As needed.
TERM OF APPOINTMENT: Quarterly.
