The Politics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the position of Lecturer in any of the sub-fields of political science (American, comparative, theory, and international relations).
The positions are available on a part-time basis for one or more quarters. Applicants should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses consistent with the Politics program. Regular appointments are during the academic year, but accepted candidates will also be eligible for Summer Session appointments.
The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching.
SALARY: $6,126 - $8,656 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Compensation for Summer Session courses may vary from this amount.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: M.A. in Political Science or related field is required at time of appointment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Political Science or related field, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
TERM OF APPOINTMENT: Quarterly
