BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY (State University of New York), AACSB-accredited School of Management invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Accounting for Fall 2017. Candidates must have (or expect) a Ph.D. degree by Fall 2017 with a willingness to teach advanced accounting a plus. High quality research as evidenced by publication in the top-tier accounting journals is expected as well as high quality teaching in the classroom. Research is supported with a two course per semester teaching load and subscriptions to WRDS and other standard databases. Recent accounting faculty publications have appeared in The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Behavioral Research in Accounting and Journal of Management Accounting Research. Located in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York State, Binghamton is three hours from New York City and Philadelphia and one hour from Ithaca and Syracuse. The area features excellent schools and recreational opportunities with a low cost of living.
Candidates must have (or expect) a PhD degree by Fall 2017 and demonstrate sound teaching credentials and the abillity to conduct high quality research as evidenced by publication in top-tier journals.
