The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall semester 2017 (August 28, 2017). Applications are invited from clinical scientists using cutting edge methods to understand the nature, mechanisms, and/or biological correlates of psychopathology. Example research approaches include genetics, neuroscience, and classification and measurement. Undergraduate and graduate-level teaching in these areas will be required. The primary appointment will be in our Clinical Science and Psychopathology Research area, with potential for cross-affiliation with other departmental areas.
The appointment will be 100% time over the nine-month academic year (late-August to late-May), and will be made at rank of tenure-track assistant professor. Salary is competitive.
A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program is required. Candidates will be evaluated according to the overall quality of their academic preparation and scholarly work, evidence of research ability, ability to make an interdisciplinary contribution to the University’s research mission, commitment to high-quality classroom instruction and student mentoring, and the strength of recommendations. A successful candidate's dossier will demonstrate scholarly distinction, a record of publications, and teaching commitment.
