The School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) seeks a Research Scientist to work as part of a research team in order to perform laboratory research tasks of considerable scope and complexity, including working with lab's mice colony. This position will be responsible for planning and performing advanced techniques including mouse surgery, developing new theories, techniques and protocols, publishing results, and applying for external grant funding.
DVM or PhD, preferred
Experience with survival mouse surgery a plus
Requires a master’s degree/PhD and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area, to include at least 2 years of research and/or college level teaching in a field basic to the work to be performed.
