PEDIATRICPRIMARYCAREMEDICINEPHYSICIANWITHSPECIALTRAINING IN SPORTMEDICINE CHILDREN'S HOSPITALLOSANGELES The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and The Children's Orthopaedic Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician. The sports medicine clinic is associated with Children's Orthopedic Center and CHLA. The clinic currently has one primary care sports medicine physician and is expanding with a second position. The position is focused on the clinical care of pediatric and adolescent sports medicine patients including musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, and basic fracture care. The positions will also be involved in expansion of the clinic's outreach program with local schools and the community. This sports medicine position will be an outpatient clinic setting in multiple locations. Responsibilities: The physicians will be expected to help continue the development of the sports medicine clinic referral base in Santa Clarita and the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. The physician will work closely with pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine physicians at the Children's Orthopaedic Center. Extensive resources are available to support research pursuits. Additionally, the physician will have ample teaching opportunities with orthopedic sports medicine, rehabilitation and adolescent fellow as well as pediatric residents with the future possibility of a sports medicine fellowship program. This position includes an approved faculty appointment in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Participation in teaching of medical students and orthopaedic residents, as well as clinical research is expected. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.
