The Dance Department has four full-time faculty members and six part-time faculty members to support the Dance Major and university core courses. The program supports two major dance productions a year in addition to several smaller performances. The curriculum is designed to provide a solid general education in dance as a performing art with a special emphasis on dance education.
The Dance Department is seeking applications for part-time faculty to teach the following:
Lighting designer to teach DANC 140-001 Dance Technical Practicum: Design Lighting as well as supervise and train student technical crew for dance concerts.
Costume designer to teach a section of DANC 140-002, Dance Production Practicum. Design and help build costumes and supervise student crew in costume shop for dance concerts.
M.A. or equivalent Experience in designing lighting for dance productions is required or Experience in dance costume production required. Experience in supervising student crew required.
