Harborview Medical Center is a level one adult and pediatric trauma center as well as regional burn center for a four state region; a teaching and research hospital for the University of Washington; and a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community. ************************************************************************** Current Harborview outpatient clinic openings:
**Infectious Diseases Clinic** 80% Day shift position available. The Clinic treats the entire spectrum of possible or diagnosed infectious diseases including endocarditis, osteomyelitis, post-operative infections, skin and soft tissue infections, extra-pulmonary tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections, fever of unknown origin and infections following overseas travel (including tropical infections). Experience working with patient population is preferred.
**Madison Clinic** 80% and 100% Day shift positions available. The Madison Clinic at Harborview provides medical care and social services for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Experience working with patient population is preferred.
**Pediatric Clinic** 80% Day shift position. Requires two years of nursing work experience, including pediatric experience.
**Eye Institute** 100% Day shift positions available. The clinic RN supports surgical practices within the practices as well as performing blood draws and Fluorescein Angiograms in clinic. The Clinic RN also supports telephone triage for opthomalogy practices.
**Kidney Clinic** 100% Day position available. Previous RN experience preferred.
**Urology Clinic** 100% Day position available. 1 year RN experience preferred.
**Orthopedic Spine Clinic** Per diem position available. 2 years working as a RN required.
**Adult Medicine Clinic - OBOT Program** 90% Day position available. This care manager position is for the Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) program. The OBOT Program offers medication assisted treatment to adults with opioid use disorders in a primary care medical clinic setting. The OBOT program is a pilot program funded by the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) that was awarded to Washington State in the effort to better address the current opioid use epidemic. Responsible for identifying and referring high utilizer clients of the Emergency Department for service coordination with King County Mental Health and Chemical Abuse and Dependency Services. RN experience working with OBOT patient population is required.
**Medical Respite** Per diem position available. Experience in an inpatient setting is preferred with two years of RN experience.
**SANE Nurse position (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner)** Per diem position available. On call position providing care to adult, adolescent and pediatric victims of sexual assault including physical exam and forensic evidence collection. Service currently is provided at Harborview Medical Center and Valley Medical Center at a minimum. Program may expand in the next year to cover additional facilities in the Seattle area. 40 hour didactic SANE training is provided along with extensive orientation. Minimum availability of 72 hours per month in 12 or 24 hour shifts. Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 40 minutes of receiving page. Minimum 2 years nursing experience required. Emergency department, Women's health and/or Pediatric experience preferred.
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington. Minimum one year RN work experience. Additional requirements may vary per individual opening. (for RN Residency application, please apply to job posting # 129987).
BSN degree and national nursing specalty certification desirable.
