The UWMC has an outstanding opportunity for a full time OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST 3. This position collaborates with patients, families (as defined by the patient), and staff across disciplines and departments. The OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST 3 is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to patients referred by a licensed provider. Administers treatments, training and physical agents as determined by the evaluation in an effort to restore function and prevent further disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Provides leadership and oversees a specialty program within the occupational therapy department. Provides clinical oversight to therapists, students, and COTAs. Oversees the work of aides and volunteers.

Education: Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination.
licensure/Experience: Current Washington State license to practice as an Occupational Therapist or valid probational certificate issued by the State of Washington to practice occupational therapy; three years experience as an Occupational Therapist II or equivalent; and completion of applicable training or education in the specialty service.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
At least 4 years experience in Acute Hospital setting. Previous mentoring or supervisory experience.
