The Graduate School of Education (GSE) is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary non-tenure track lecturers to teach in its professional preparation programs for the 2016-17 academic year. Screening of applicants begins immediately and continues as needed. Applicants will be selected from this pool for one year; some appointments begin in the fall semester and others in the spring semester. The number of positions varies from semester to semester and may be renewed based on need and performance. Successful applicants may have an opportunity to teach in our Summer Sessions course offerings.
Teaching Responsibilities: We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach/co-teach courses in the school's teacher education programs and can supervise student teachers: Developmental Teacher Education (DTE) - offers MA and multiple subject credential
Multicultural Urban Secondary English (MUSE) - offers MA and single subject credential
Masters and Credential in Science and Mathematics Education (MACSME) - offers MA and single subject credential

General Duties: In addition to teaching responsibilities, duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, and preparing course materials.
Basic Qualification: Masters degree or equivalent degree at the time of application.
Additional Qualifications (by start date): The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and practice experience in the subject matter field and with diverse populations.
Salary: These are academic year appointments and subject to the normal processes of academic review. Salary is commensurate with experience but typically begins at $55,832 and prorated in accordance to instructional workload calculation.
