Posting Summary: UVa's School of Continuing and Professional Studies seeks applicants to fill non-tenure track part-time instructor positions. The instructor for Certified Financial Planning (non-credit) and the Instructor/Course Developer for Accounting (graduate level, for credit) will teach online course(s) in the respective disciplines and may begin instruction as early as Fall 2016 or Spring 2017. SCPS employs academic faculty who have applicable content expertise at the appropriate level, and who provide evidence of recent and/or current professional experience which applies to students' achieving the goals and learning outcomes of the program.
Successful candidate for the Instructor, Certified Financial Planning (non-credit) will teach a course from the seven required in the program. The successful candidate for the Instructor, Accounting (graduate level) will work with the senior program director to develop and teach a graduate course in Forensic Accounting.
Instructor, Accounting qualifications: a relevant terminal degree in business administration, taxation, or accounting is required; however, a master's degree in business administration, taxation, or accounting with extraordinary practitioner qualifications may be considered. Applicants must hold unexpired CPA licenses to teach accounting courses. Instructor, Certified Financial Planning: A master's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting is required; a terminal degree in business administration, taxation, and accounting or in other relevant fields is preferred. Applicants must hold unexpired CFP certificate.
Both positons require two to four years relevant subject matter teaching experience in a college or university; however, extensive industry experience may be considered in lieu of the required teaching experience. Online teaching experience preferred.

Note: This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits. All hires are made as part-time appointments.
