Posting Summary: The Office of Sponsored Programs is recruiting for Grants and Contracts Administrator to perform pre-award, post-award or a combination of grants and contracts job duties in response to specific proposal guidelines or terms and conditions. They may function in a central unit, school, department, division, institute, or center. Grants and Contracts Administrators facilitate the proposal submission and award administration process. They understand sponsor requirements and interpret guidelines for the Principal Investigator. They are responsible for the processing of proposal or award amendments, communicating with sponsor as needed, and serve as the primary contact for internal and external subcontracts and sponsors. They may perform a range of other duties within their organizations, as needed, but are distinguished by their expertise in grants and contracts administration.

Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Preferred
Preferred Specific Degree/Training: Master's Degree
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Prior experience in sponsored programs and contracts administration.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Experience in grant review and management preferred; prior experience in educational or public administration.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of grants management. Demonstrates knowledge grants and contracts. Ability to synthesize information and provide advice to researchers, administrators, faculty, and business managers. Ability to communicate and interact with faculty, staff and sponsors. Advanced ability to navigate University databases and systems. Ability to access and present information to University employees, faculty, and senior leaders. Understand the role of research funding in supporting the University's educational mission and strategic aims
Required Computer Applications: Be Proficient in the use of MS Office: Word, Excel, Access (to the extent of your assigned job duties); Email (including attachments), Internet Browser-Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, fax machine, copier, printers, scanner and telephone.
Preferred Computer Applications: Move data from PC to server and back to PC. Proficient in the use of Oracle (to the extent of your assigned Oracle responsibilities) Discoverer, VPN, Corporate Time, Brio Query, Adobe Acrobat, Information Warehouse
