Posting Summary: The University of Virginia's Department of Parking and Transportation is searching for a reliable UTS Dispatch Supervisor.
The UTS Dispatch Supervisor is the primary operational contact responsible for spearheading customer service efforts and providing internal support for the fixed route transit service. The UTS Dispatch Supervisor serves as the primary radio contact with drivers on the road, maintains the AVL/CAD dispatching system, creates driver schedules, conducts driver performance reviews and on-road inspections, and provides various reports on both a regular and ad hoc basis. The Dispatch Supervisor manages a team of Dispatchers to ensure continuity of operations when the transit system is in service.

Two or more years of supervisory experience in a professional setting is preferred.

Required Specific Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience in a professional setting is required. General experience in a professional office setting and some experience providing front-line customer service is also required.

Required License or Certification: Required: a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, as evidenced by a positive or zero point balance on said license.
Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the Passengers and Air Brakes endorsements within 90 days of hire.
