Posting Summary: The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences seeks PRN Wage Lab and Data Technicians to support research efforts in the Neurocomputational Section of the Department. The incumbent assists the PI by monitoring and troubleshooting a computer system and artificial pancreas during a clinical trial as well as data maintenance, which may involve compiling, coding, categorizing, and storing data in an electronic format. In addition, the incumbent learns to handle and process lab specimens.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months' experience in a research or clinical laboratory setting, following specific protocols and procedures. Experience working in a clinical research lab as a student/volunteer will be considered in lieu of professional experience.
This is a part-time wage position and is contingent upon availability of funding.

Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years

Preferred Specific Experience: A minimum of one year of previous experience with clinical research, automated medical systems, and scientific, experimentation, and research techniques. Experience in the use of a centrifuge and YSI Glucose Analyzer is preferred. Prior experience with diabetes devices, android cell phones, and the artificial pancreas is a plus.
