The University of Minnesota Tourism Center is looking for qualified individuals to fill part-time, temporary positions as survey assistants in the Burnsville area. The project will involve collecting surveys from visitors to the Burnsville area by asking them to complete a paper questionnaire.
Position Information: *The survey assistants will distribute and collect questionnaires from visitors at designated businesses located in the Burnsville area. This will involve approaching visitors as they enter/exit area businesses, inviting them to complete the questionnaire, and then returning the completed questionnaires to the local coordinator or the project leader in a timely manner. *The project will begin on September 1, 2016 and end on February 28, 2017. *Data collection will take place mornings and afternoons, weekdays and weekends, holidays and non-holidays (flexible schedule) *Scheduling will be flexible; length of shifts will be from two to four hours (average 20 hours/month).
*Available to work weekends and holidays *Must have a dependable car, valid Minnesota Driver’s License, and proof of current auto insurance *Must have a mobile phone AND e-mail *Must be able to follow instructions and complete work assignments independently
*Outgoing, friendly, polite, and professional in appearance *Highly reliable, responsible, and persistent *Good communication skills
