The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program is recruiting for a Director of Medical Education. The successful candidate will serve as a resource for program directors, program coordinators, and clerkship directors for educational design, curricular development, innovations and outcomes’ metrics. In addition, they will support the work of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators, Assistant Deans for GME, UME and Research Dean on the Fresno campus. Applicants must possess either a PhD or DEd or a MD or DO with a Master’s in Education. Should have a background in adult learning; experience in medical education as witnessed by: work experience with teaching physicians in clinical settings, understanding of ACGME requirements and outcomes including core competencies and milestones, understanding evolving metrics in UME including EPA’s, understand strengths and weaknesses in teaching technologies and on-line curricula. UCSF Fresno has undergone an expansion with a new UCSF Medical Education and Research Building and initiated successful faculty practice sites. The program is based in Fresno, California, where residents enjoy a high standard of living combined with a low cost of living.
