Job Description Summary:
The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Strategic Management and Public Policy starting as early as the Fall of 2017. We invite applications from scholars conducting high quality research that is targeted at top-tier research journals in the strategy, organization theory or public policy area. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in the strategic management area, broadly defined. New tenure track faculty members ordinarily have a three course teaching load and summer support through the tenure decision.
Our department is committed to rigorous and high-impact scholarly work from a variety of methodological and theoretical perspectives, including strategy, business ethics, public policy, corporate social responsibility, and organization theory.
Applicants for this position must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. or other terminal degree in business or a closely related field by the date of appointment. Applicants must have demonstrated potential for success in scholarship as evidenced by research, teaching, and service in the area of strategic management, business ethics, public policy, corporate social responsibility, and/or environmental sustainability.
