Assistant, Associate & Full Professor (HS Clin, Clin X, Adjunct & In-Residence) - Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging
The Department of Radiology at UC San Diego (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. Given that commitment, the department is recruiting an outstanding academic radiologist to head the thoracic imaging section.
The Thoracic Section at UCSD is expanding. The University will open the new state-of-the-art, 245-bed Jacobs Medical Center in October 2016. There are currently 7 full-time or part-time radiologists in the thoracic imaging section. Ample opportunities exist for research in thoracic and cardiac imaging, lung cancer screening, lung transplantation, pulmonary hypertension and other areas.
Candidates must have a MD or equivalent degree, be eligible for California state medical licensure, be Board Certified in Radiology and have completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic radiology. The candidate must have high interest and experience in academic radiology, teaching, research and publications. Candidates are required to show a demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity.
Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Series will be determined based on qualifications and skills. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Review of applications will begin on August 14, 2016 and continue until the position is filled.
