Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston invites applications for a full-time Instructional Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to begin in the 2016-17 academic year. The successful applicant will direct engineering programs at the University of Houston Katy Campus. These programs include petroleum, subsea, computer, infrastructure, and environmental engineering.
The primary responsibilities of this position on the UH Katy Campus are instructional and administrative. This position will coordinate the engineering course offerings, manage course delivery, lead the development of future course curricula, and be the primary point of contact for students. The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to function in a collaborative atmosphere with multiple stakeholders. Candidates must possess a solid commitment to engineering education and excellent communication skills. Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent in an engineering discipline or a related STEM field. Exceptional candidates will have a record of scholarly activities and experience working with online engineering programs. Candidates with experience in oil and gas engineering are particularly encouraged to apply.
