The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) in the Department of Pediatrics/LAC+USC in the Division of Violence Intervention Program (VIP) is actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics.
The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, Department of Pediatrics/LAC+USC Medical Center is seeking a full-time, board certified pediatrician with an interest in caring for vulnerable children and adolescents. The VIP is a public – private partnership that provides direct patient care, resident teaching and clinic research in the hospital and outpatient setting. As the first Family Advocacy Center in the United States, the VIP offers medical, mental health, forensic, legal and supportive services to victims of child abuse, domestic and sexual violence, elder abuse. In addition the VIP has pioneered a series of "medical homes" for foster children. Most recently the VIP has taken the lead in building a unique consortium of services for the pediatric population collectively known as "The Medical Village – Pediatrics," housed in a state-of-the-art renovated outpatient site adjacent to the new Los Angeles County – USC Medical Center.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of California. Experience with
an underserved population is preferred.
