The Program in Nursing Science has part-time Health Sciences Clinical Instructor positions available throughout the year. The Health Sciences Clinical Instructors will be primarily responsible for clinical instruction in affiliated hospitals in Orange County. The Health Sciences Clinical Instructors will also assist with formative and summative assessment and simulated activities related to the undergraduate program. The Health Sciences Clinical Instructors will have non-tenured academic appointments in the Program in Nursing Science. REQUIREMENTS: Due to the clinical nature of the clinical training programs, strong consideration will be given to candidates that have a current clinical background at the level of an advanced practice nurse. The applicant must be clinically competent in medical-surgical, psychiatry, obstetrics, pediatrics, critical care, community health, or geriatrics, and have worked in an acute care environment in the past 2-5 years. Candidates must be able to use instructional technology, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, have effective management skills and be able to work a flexible schedule that occasionally may include evenings or weekend assignments. Master's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred; and Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and current California RN license in good standing are required.
