Position: Project Scientist Series, Open Ranks (Assistant, Associate, and/or Full) The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a full-time position in the Project Scientist Series (Assistant Project Scientist, Associate Project Scientist and/or Full Project Scientist) in the following fields: General Neurosurgery, Spine Surgery, Cerebrovascular, Functional Neurosurgery, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuro-behavior, Neuromuscular Disease, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neuro-Otology, Neuropsychiatric Testing, Trauma, Pain Management. Requirements - Applications are being sought from M.D., Ph.D. or M.D. /Ph.D. candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds, publications and specialized training. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Rank and compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Preferred - Prior management of Translational Research Laboratory, prior research in Neurological Surgery.
