This position is for a one-year full-time Research Assistant to work on a grant-funded project that provides psychological assessment services for investigators conducting studies with children (infants through adolescents) with a range of developmental disabilities (e.g., premature birth, sickle cell disease, autism).
Test Administration: The employee will carefully administer a range of tests, checklist and questionnaires in a highly standardized manner to assess cognitive, behavioral, social and emotional function in children and families. 35%
Test Scoring: The employee will carefully score the tests administered to generate test scores. 20%
Data Reporting: The employee will generate score reports and provide theses reports to investigators. 15%
Data Entry: The employee will enter data into a secure database. 20%
Scheduling: The employee will schedule appointments with children and families using an on-line system. 3%
Ordering: The employee will order tests and acquire other materials needed for day to day operations of the laboratory. 3%
Perform other duties as assigned. 4%
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field. Prior experience in a psychology research laboratory or psychological assessment setting (e.g., psychology clinic, educational setting).
Prior experience conducting assessment with children and families.
Strong organizational, planning, detail and time management skills.
Ability to learn new test and assessment skills.
Ability to interact with children and families with compassion and professionalism.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Proficiency with work processing and spreadsheet software.

The hiring range for this position is $23,400 - $29,933 annually.
