Advertised Summary Job Description: This position will support the Electronic Medical Record projects for Department of Pediatrics supporting 250 plus physicians. The candidate will be responsible for the administrative, clinical, and operational IS projects in support of the EMR (CROWN).
Job responsibilities include:
?Analyze and evaluate end-user process and provide guidance on how clinical automation could facilitate existing workflow. Identify 'areas for improvement' and determine effective solutions for implementation into the EMR system. ?Develop detailed design specifications for all configuration requests and coordinate all interaction with the clinical user community during system build. ?Detailed testing for all configuration work, both during the build cycle in development and post-production validation. ?Participate in functional and integrated testing of all software upgrades, enhancements, service packs and hotfixes as assigned. ?Provide ad-hoc user-training sessions as needed. ?Provide activation support in the unit/clinic/area as users begin using the EMR system. ?Provide second-tier support center assistance to trouble-shoot and resolve system/workflow problems (ongoing production support). ?Provide weekly status reports to management team on project status, issue tracking, project risks and associated mitigation strategies. ?Participate in on-call coverage for user support on a rotational basis.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: ?Ability to perform tasks on schedule according to project plans and timeframes, prioritizing based on department goals. ?Ability to work closely with the clinical user community (i.e. physicians, nursing, ancillary departments and others) to determine key business requirements. Ability to lead project teams and committees through design-build-test-activate stages of a project. ?Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. ?Microsoft Office Suite, Visio
Preferred Qualifications: 2 Years' experience with electronic medical record system
