Essential Functions: - Animal surgery, implantation, and electrophysiological recordings of neural activity in auditory and/or non-auditory brain structures in vivo.- Molecular biological studies in the cochlea and brain structures. - Cochlear and brain tissue histology, freezing sectioning of brain tissues, immunocytochemistry, imaging analysis.- Behavioral assays, MRI imaging in rodent animals.- Implementing and developing software solutions for data collection, storage, management and analysis. - MatLab programming to analyze electrophysiological data and/or MRI imaging - Trouble-shootings and equipment maintenance. - Collaboration with colleagues in neurophysiology, neuropharmacology and behavioral psychology.- Able to write or assist in writing scientific papers, reports, and grant applications.- Management of the laboratory ordering and cleanliness.
