Job Description Summary:
The Department of Biological, Chemical and Physical Sciences seeks qualified and engaging part-time faculty to teach open sections of general chemistry and/or organic chemistry lecture and/or laboratory for Fall '16 and Spring '17. Occasional sections of upper level classes require staffing, so applicants with teaching interests in biochemistry, polymer chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical/environmental chemistry and polymer chemistry are also encouraged to apply.
A Master's degree in chemistry or chemistry-related discipline is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Instructors must have the knowledge, skills and ability to provide quality instruction to RU students through well prepared classes, modern teaching methods, clear communications with students and fair assessment of learning in a supportive environment. Instructors should demonstrate mastery of the course content, familiarity with effective teaching strategies, and willingness to work cooperatively with other faculty teaching in the same course sequence.
A Ph.D or ABD, as well as teaching experience and substantive work experience in chemistry are preferred.
