The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings in the Specialist Series in various divisions. The divisions are: Immunology Infectious Diseases Cardiology Nephrology and Hypertension Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Occupational and Environmental Medicine Gastroenterology Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine General Internal Medicine and Primary Care Rheumatology Hematology/Oncology For the rank of Junior Specialist should have a minimum of B.S. degree. Candidates for all other ranks must have a minimum of, M.D., Ph.D. or M.D. /Ph.D. degree(s). Extensive training in one or more of the above disciplines is required.
