Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Associate Director, the incumbent acts as a liaison between clients from various University schools and departments and the Columbia Creative team and is responsible for managing the production of print and digital materials to meet the clients' communication needs.
Incumbent proactively meets with clients to determine print and marketing communication needs; produces proposals, production schedules, cost estimates, and final invoices for clients; secures all out-sourced costs (including three estimates for printing), determines internal fees, and manages the budget of each project based on the approved client estimate; coordinates all project elements such as writing, design, printing, distribution, and scheduling with third-party developers to keep projects on schedule and within budget; reviews and approves all elements of the project for accuracy before presenting designs to client to ensure quality control; provides client with progress reports for current projects; reviews all job-related invoices for accuracy; performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and minimum of two years related experience required. A thorough knowledge of file preparation, printing processes, and pressroom, bindery, and mailing operations required. Experience in printing production for commercial printing plant or large in-house operation desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
