The University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking motivated applicants for a with interest or experience in developing novel blood substitutes. The candidate will work with a team of investigators and graduate students from the schools of Pharmacy, Medicine, and Engineering. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. and strong writing skills. Specific responsibilities include planning and analysis of research studies, coordinating with an industrial sponsor, and preparation of data for papers, reports, and patents. Beneficial experience includes hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers, hemoglobin biochemistry, molecular biology, protein purification, cell-culture, bioconjugate chemistry, high performance liquid chromatography, optical imaging, and micro-positron emission tomography (microPET) imaging. Salary and position to be commensurate with experience.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate
Minimum Field of Expertise:
Directly related education and experience in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods.
