Summary Description: Columbia University's Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology invites applications for a postdoctoral research scientist or associate research scientist position. Core responsibilities will include laboratory organization including ordering of supplies, organization of space and materials, training of new lab personnel, and ensuring compliance with institutional review board and regulatory processes.
Minimum Qualifications: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Image J ad Adobe is expected.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with standard molecular biology techniques (transfection, western blot, qPCR, IP), immunohistochemistry/immunocytochemistry, confocal/IF/time lapse video microscopy, isolation and maintenance of primary cell lines and work with murine models is strongly preferred. Experience in redox regulation, microarray, high throughput sequencing would be advantageous as would experience in microsurgical techniques.
