Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellow in the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular in the laboratory of Dr. Alessandro Vindigni, beginning in the Summer of 2016. Successful candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in life sciences with a special emphasis on biochemistry and molecular cell biology. The laboratory of Dr. Alessandro Vindigni focuses on understanding the mechanisms of replication stress response and the role of ATP-dependent motor proteins in the maintenance of genome integrity. Projects combine cellular, biochemical and structural approaches.
Previous experience in the fields of DNA replication and repair is a plus. Applicants should also be highly self-motivated and have a track record of creativity and productivity.
