Advertised Summary Job Description: The Dental Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting at chair side as required; and aiding in preparation and maintenance of materials, instruments and equipment. The incumbent will pull and file patient charts; maintain student and patient records; order and dispense supplies and instruments; make and confirm appointments; provide cross coverage for dental assistant module areas and radiology. Performs other related duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and formal training in four handed, sit-down dental assisting and six months of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Experience in a dental office and chair side assisting and dental x-rays required. Knowledge of dental terminology required.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a dental assistant program preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred, including translation.
